Happy National Water Quality Month!

Do you know what is in your drinking water? If not, find out. Go to your local municipality website and check the water quality reports. One way to know you have safe and clean drinking water year round, is with an EcoloBlue Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG). Water generated from the air, then filtered, and easily accessible at any time. No need to worry about your water supply in the event of a natural disaster, your EcoloBlue AWG can run off solar, wind, or gas generator power as well. Learn more HERE.

Are you aware that August is Water Quality Month? August is the time of year when many people are enjoying the last bits of summer recreational activities involving water. But these bodies of water are threatened by increasing water pollution. The Clean Water Act was passed in 1972 but most people are unaware of the little ways they can pollute their water. Water sustains all life and entire ecosystems depend on it for their survival. Water Quality Month reminds us to take a long, hard look at what your household and community are doing to protect sources of fresh water.

The History of Water Quality Month
The United Nations has declared 2005-2015 an International Decade for Action “Water for Life” in order to emphasize the importance of water quality as it relates to sanitation, human rights, geography, urbanization and sustainability. Emphasizing how interlinked water systems are, the Audobon Society points to the dangers of runoff from agriculture, forestry, construction and people’s personal yards:”Each individual household may not produce enough pollution to force a beach closing or cause a fish kill, but the combined output of all the homes in a community can be severe. And, consider that about half of the U.S. population lives within 50 miles of a coastline where runoff flows quickly to the ocean. This is why watershed protection — attention not only to the body of water but the area that drains into it — is important.”

How to Celebrate Water Quality Month
What can individuals and families can do to prevent water pollution from their homes especially during Water Quality Month? Here’s a short list of things that you can do at home to help: Not using antibacterial soaps or cleaning products. Regular soap and water will do the trick. Much of the antibacterial soaps contain a registered pesticide that is known to harm marine life.
Not flushing unwanted or out-of-date medications down the toilet or drain.
Not putting anything but water down storm drains because they carry water to local waterways.
Fixing leaks that drop from cars and putting liners in driveways to collect oil and other materials.
Avoid using pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Choose nontoxic household products when possible.
Pick up after pets.
Not paving properties.

If you have a private well make sure it is tested and cleaned regularly. There can be bacteria build up in wells.
Read your local water quality report so you know what the water quality is in your area.

Another option could be to gather a group of family, friends, and neighbors and volunteer to clean a local water source. You could bring a picnic (and some beer for the adults) and hold a contest to see who can clean up the most trash and debris, offering a prize to the winning team. It’s a great way to get everyone together and enjoy an outdoor day full of fun and good-doing!

EcoloBlue at CES 2017 Las Vegas

EcoloBlue had a fantastic time at CES 2017 in Las Vegas from Jan 5-8, 2017. So many great things to see in the very extensive halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, but people were happy to see us. We heard several times that there were only so many TVs, bluetooth speakers, drones, etc they could look it, and we were something unique and unexpected. Not only did they find the technology to be exciting, they also could see themselves getting on board with our mission to provide clean water to the world, and reducing plastic bottle waste.

We met so many interesting and enthusiastic people from all over the globe… Germany, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Columbia, Mexico, Australia, Japan, Peru, China, and of course all over the States. EcoloBlue Co-Founder and CEO, Henri-James Tieleman was interviewed by Innovation & Tech Today, as well as Chris Voss (follow the link to see the video). The support was overwhelming. Innovation & Tech Today even selected us as one of their Editor’s Choice winners.

Below are some photos from the event.

Corpus Christi, TX Water Crisis – EcoloBlue has solutions

The Texas city of Corpus Christi told its nearly 320,000 residents on Thursday to stop using tap water due to possible contamination from an industrial chemical leak and said it will distribute bottled water to residents.

The city said it was investigating the possible leak of up to 24 gallons (91 liters) of an asphalt emulsifier called Indulin AA-86. The governor’s office said it will ship drinking water to the city and is “aggressively monitoring” the situation.

The chemical can cause eye and skin burns, respiratory tract irritation and damage to the digestive systems but is not known to be carcinogenic, according to safety data.

“Do not try to treat the water yourself. Boiling, freezing, filtering, adding chlorine or other disinfectants, or letting the water stand will not make the water safe,” the city said in a statement.

This is just one more example of a water crisis affecting an unprepared population of people. Then everyone goes in to panic mode, rushes out to buy bottled water, which is one time us and a plastic bottle for the landfill. With our atmospheric water generators, they can have 99.9% pure water everyday, for upwards of 10 years. EcoloBlue would like to extend a discount, or some free filters with the purchase of a machine. Please call us at 800-691-6043 to discuss more. Mike Shouts Blog- “This Amazing Cooler-like Machine Will Turn Air Into Drinking Water”

Despite Earth’s 70% is covered by water, water remains a precious resource and as such many do not have access to clean, potable water. However, wherever you may be, there’s actually a water source which didn’t see. It is in plain sight, really, but invisible to our naked eyes. So where? Well, it is in the air, in the form of humidity and this machine you see here, EcoloBlue Atmospheric Water Generator, …

EcoloBlue At The Green Festival Expo

The 2016 Green Festival Expo was a huge success. Our weekend started with our EB 30 series unit showcased on KTVU Channel 2 Fox News.  During the presentation the president of The Green Festival Expo, Dr. Corinna Basler, spoke about EcoloBlue atmospheric water generators being one of her “favorite products.” We left the news station and joined other vendors at GreenFest where it did not take long for consumers to approach us to find out more about our product. Friday might have been the slowest day but we were always on our feet talking to potential customers, and several people were able to meet and chat with one of our owners and CEO, Henri- James Tieleman. Our Sales Executive, John Mortlock gave a great speech about “Water in the 21 Century.” His speech brought awareness to nationwide issues that are currently going on with water, and the solution that EcoloBlue can offer to water crises globally. People were able to not only view our products but were also able to purchase an EB30. One customer walked away happy to bring a unit home with her that day.

Saturday brought even more eco-friendly consumers to GreenFest, and great connections were made with people from all across the U.S. Our water drop mascot pleased the crowd and gave people an understanding of EcoloBlue and what was expected at our booth. We met people from Florida, New York, New Jersey, Southern California, Texas and some people from overseas that were all glad they came and learned about our EcoloBlue. People were shocked that they were drinking “water from air” and amazed as to how great the water tasted.

On top of the relationships that were made the attendees, we also became friends with the sustainable vendors that participated at GreenFest. World Progress Now, Valley Oak Dairy, Tower Garden, The Solar Company and Thanksgiving Coffee are just a few of the vendors that we meet that also support sustainability. By Sunday we were able to speak with other vendors and we were impressed to see all that is out there for sustainability including sustainable clothes, shoes, toys, kitchenware, and more.

Overall we had a great time and established some great friendships.

Our Sales Executive John Did A Great Webcast with Cannabis Investor

On September 15, 2016 our Sales Executive John Mortlock spoke on the Cannabis Investor Webcast. For thirty minutes people were educated on the history of EcoloBlue, what we offer, and the affect we are having in communities. People learned about water issues in the U.S. and how an AWG from EcoloBlue can be used in the event of a water crisis. John also spoke about how an AWG from EcoloBlue can help with greenhouse growing. Click HERE to view the full Webcast.
